FAQs

Will my quote price you provide be the same price when I decide to book it?

Great question! The short answer is it really depends. Some promotions and savings are only available for a limited time so if you are sent a quote and then decide a month later you would like to book it, the pricing and availability may have changed. If this happens, I am always upfront about any changes and or increases in pricing and will review all details with you before proceeding to take any deposit or payment. That way, you can make your best-educated decision about your travel plans.

Do you include Travel Protection on your reservations or packages?

Yes, I ALWAYS include Travel Protection in the cost of my quotes because I view travel as an investment and life is unpredictable and there are too many outside factors that could affect your trip such as family obligations, work, weather, pandemic closures...etc. Having clients covered for trip interruptions pre, during, and post-travel is peace of mind for everyone traveling. If you specifically request not to include protection on your booking, you will be required to sign a waiver.

I need to modify or cancel my trip, what do I do?

No worries at all, life happens and I`m here to help you! If you need to postpone your trip or cancel entirely, please contact me as soon as you can. Each brand, hotel, and the airline has its own set of policies and guidelines when canceling or modifying a booking. (I will have already reviewed these terms with you prior to booking so there are not any surprises for said scenarios) I welcome the opportunity to re-book with you again!

I have airline points/credits to book my flights with, how do I do that?

Wonderful! Each airline has its own set of policies on how to book with reward points or pay for the fare with airline credits. Please contact me and I would be happy to determine if we are able to use those points/credits on your future booking with me, or if we would need to split the booking up to maximize your earnings!

Is the entire cost of the trip you quoted due at the time we want to book it?

Not necessarily. It really depends on when you are traveling and what you book. Most bookings are due in full approximately 45 days prior to your scheduled departure date. Before then, there would be a deposit amount due to secure and hold the reservation for you. Some bookings, like Disney, only require a $200.00 deposit to be made at the time of booking and then the remaining amount at the 45-day mark. This allows clients to make payments (in the amount of their choosing) on their reservations over time until that 45-day window which is a beautiful thing!

How come I don't see added commission charges on my quote?

I always get asked this question and I`ll be completely honest since most Travel Agencies don't seem to disclose this information... there's no need to charge an added commission fee into our client's cost when we have such great relationships with our suppliers! Our suppliers actually pay us directly for the business. It's a win-win for everyone and it's how we can keep our prices competitive in the travel market!

Is a Disney Vacation really that expensive?

Disney Vacations are MAGICAL experiences that last lifetimes. That being said, Disney is not free or "cheap" BUT I bet it is more affordable than you think! I have been to Disney numerous times over the past 5 years and I graduated from the College of Disney in 2018 and re-certified in 2019, 2020, and 2021. I have stayed in value, moderate, and deluxe resorts and been to all 4 parks...I guess you could say I`m kind of a Disney Junkie! If you are at all interested in a Disney Vacation, please message me! I love talking Disney and will do my very best to make your vacation as magical and stress-free as possible.

Why should I book with you and not another Travel Agency?

With us, you get exceptional personal assistance before, during, and after your vacation. There's no pressure to book at any time and I will never contact you unless you request me to. You are free to take our free quote and shop around, that`s what I would do too! We provide honest advice about all resorts and destinations to help you choose the perfect trip.

I have heard horror stories about Travel Agencies going out of business and taking client's money and vacations with them, how are you different?

First, that is absolutely terrible and I sincerely feel for those clients that were left like that - I would love the opportunity to make their booking experiences much better! Second, because you never pay Erie Island Travel directly for your vacation, there is no risk of losing your booking with us. When making your booking, you provide us with your credit card information. In turn, we provide that information securely to certified vendors (resorts, airlines, etc.). They charge your card. This way, you are assured that every payment you make towards your vacation is applied directly to your booking.
